Tom Andrews: F/V Sundown 1

In a business that often 'runs in the family,' Tom is a fishing pioneer, having come up to Alaska for summers to troll for salmon during his college years, the first of his line to do so. He says he was promptly "hooked" and came back post-graduation and never left. That was almost 30 years ago. Tom has two grown kids "and an exceptional girlfriend" he says with a twinkle in his eye. He likes working with Yakobi Fisheries because of the attention to quality, he likes supporting a local business, and because of "the pride I get in knowing how my catch is handled from start to finish." He also likes being a spark in the local economy, seeing spring Kings in Pelican, and "maintaining our city's reputation for being a vital fishing town."
